Neighborhood

Situated between 16th Street and the National Zoo, Mt. Pleasant is a diverse, historic neighborhood located approximately three miles north of the White House.

The neighborhood is composed of single family homes, townhouses and apartment buildings, as well as a commerical area originally developed around the end of the street car line. Mt. Pleasant lies in close proximity to three of D.C.'s favorite hotspots: Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, and U Street.

Mt. Pleasant is also home to Meridian Hill Park, which not only hosts a variety of cultural events throughout the year, but also affords what some consider to be the best view of the city.
